We need to talk about healthwashing.
It’s everywhere, and it’s exhausting.
Ever picked up a product
labeled superfood, sustainable, or real and thought, "Wow, finally! A good choice!" , only to find out later it was all marketing fluff?
It’s not just food. It’s wellness programs, influencers, and “experts” selling you secrets and shortcuts that are really just recycled ideas wrapped in a sparkly filter.
The industry is banking on us not paying attention.
But we are, right?
Wellness is not something you can buy in a bottle, a 10-day detox, or a guru’s overpriced masterclass.
So, what do we do?
1️⃣ Slow down.
If the promise is urgent, the red flag should be, too.
2️⃣ Question everything.
Interrogate the claims
... what do they really mean?
3️⃣ Trust yourself.
You're your own best expert. Really. If something feels off, it probably is.
This isn’t about being cynical ... it’s about being wise.
And that’s why I created TWIC and why membership is growing and more are showing up more often ... it's a place where we call BS on healthwashing and learn how to make choices that actually serve us.
I'm curious ... what’s the worst “healthy” product or promise you’ve ever fallen for? Reply to this email ... I want to hear it, and I can share one of my experiences of being duped with
you.
