In this wild world that we all share, we seem to be expected to tolerate a lot, to toughen up and suck it up. This email will hopefully serve as a reminder to challenge that and to challenge yourself.
Rather than spending this weekend, (possibly a long weekend for you), scrolling through the doom online and giving yourself daytime stress and nighttime terrors, perhaps you could try ONE new thing … ONE thing that might lead to a little more calm, balance, flow, joy, hope … a little more Wellness Intelligence.
I do, of course, believe in the benefits of being an informed/enraged/active citizen, so I am not endorsing “ostrich mode” (not paying attention to what’s happening in our world or your personal life to avoid
feelings), but “ostriching” can also help us all manage by focusing on something we can control.
ONE single thought, action, or experience can
create momentum for a series of further positive thoughts, actions, or experiences.
You have to start somewhere, right?
Allow yourself to be a beginner … to begin with ONE. On repeat.
When you give yourself the opportunity to try new things … to fumble, to struggle … you learn and grow … and, you might find that you empower yourself to try more. Your successes are a product of a series of ONEs.
